TEAMING UP TO REACH YOUR COMMUNITY AND THE WORLD

SO YOU WANT TO

START A  JESUS TEAM

The first thing you need to do is pray.
Ask God to guide you through each step.

Remember

  A JESUS TEAM is a group of 3 to 12 trained & equipped people who team up to bring the Gospel to a particular place (village, neighborhood, school, job, etc.).  The outreach could be called Operation Heaven Fire (Name of PLACE) based on Isaiah 6:5-8. The purpose would be to light a fire for Jesus.  Using the each one reach one method they would reach out, and disciple those who respond; passing on what they learned in their training.  In turn those who are discipled can reach out and disciple others until the whole area is living for Jesus.

PROCEDURE:

  1.  Ask God to send you at least two (2) more people who have the same burden you have.

  2.  Team comes together and spends 1 or more days fasting.

  3.  Ask God to give you intercessors who will pray for the team regularly.

  4.  Team trains for the ministry God has called them to do.

  5.  Team studies & prays about the problems, strongholds, and local church situation they mayface.

  6.  Team sets God given goals for the Outreach.
       A. Number of Souls saved.
       B. Personally disciple each one.
       C. House Church or fellowship group started (3 or more individuals or Families) or local Church                                     strengthened (at least 1 JESUS TEAM Started).

  7.  Go in the power of the Holy Spirit, prepared to live with the people, eat their food and drink their water.

  8.  Minimum of one week should be spent if possible.

  9.  Do outreach regularly and begin to disciple new converts in personal, family & Church life principles.

  10. If there is a local pastor try to contact & work with him if possible.

JESUS TEAM MEMBER GUIDELINES

1.   Pray for your team and its goals before going to sleep at night.  It will keep it fresh in your heart and mind.
2.   Attend team meetings unless providentially hindered.
3.   Complete necessary training.
4.   Participate in team outreach/ministry activities unless providentially hindered.
